The main difference between the 7093 and the flat pancake pink filters such as the 2091 and 2097 is the outer case of the 7093.
The hard plastic case that makes it especially helpful where some water splash may occur. Water hitting the sponge-like filters will reduce the ability to breath and will minimize the life of the sponge filter.
The number one objective is to make sure the filter you’re using is effective for the environment you’re looking to protect yourself from.
